One month ago Roger, Vanessa, Blake and Austin’s Dorshorst lives were turned upside when Rog was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia. Over the past month Rog has been receiving treatment in hospital which has resulted in a very positive outlook towards recovery. This news might come as a shock to you as Vanessa has still be present a trainings as well as supporting Rog and the boys. However, Rog is still at the start of his journey and we are now calling on the SAVC community again for support and to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Therefore, during Round 10 we will be hosting a BBQ and a bake sale at REC through the South Ave Bar. This day will be in line with our Retro Round inviting past players to our last home round of the 2026 season so we can celebrate SAVC and support the Dorshorst family!
